I am turning 45 next week, and as a gift to myself, I finally bought a new computer.
I have been a pc gamer for as long as I can think, but I always bought used parts and got stuff from friends cheap. So my PC was always a couple of generations behind.
My current setup has a AthlonFX, that should give you an indicator.
After having a kid and the price of everything shooting to the sky with corona, my dream of building my own PC seemed further than ever. But for the last year, I worked my ass off and saved as much as possible, it's finally that day.
I couldn't be happier.
The M2 SSD fell without me noticing, but it's there.
Now I go build that damn thing.
Wish me luck

Damn my guy, you trying to live like Patrick Star? Why don’t you add a few black on black. That’s terrible for anyone on magnet( My G, Snatch, Bar Scene- the drink)

You mean the, "tug everything away behind the motherboard" I'll do my best

Haha! I mean you could OR take hours meticulously planning and routing each cable (like i did) so if something ever goes wrong, you wont have to spend time unraveling a rats nest of cables. Also, would love to see the finished result! Here’s mine

Don’t plug the pc into a cheap strip or surge protector, will cause coil whine on gpu. Found out the hard way after days of wondering wtf.

Really depends what you like. But I'm currently playing Ara History Untold. In the next week I'll be getting Streets of Rogue 2, Factorio Space Age, and end of the month dragon age is out. If you want to get something visually impressive, I'd check out Wukong too :D

once you get Factorio Space Age, nothing else will matter... the factory must grow.

Thanks for the suggestions, I actually bought CP2077 when it came out and was able to play it on low settings. Looking forward to replay it with proper graphics

That’s awesome! fyi there’s new DLC since the release called Phantom Liberty, lots of changes (mostly good, hate what they did to weapon mods) new area to explore and more story.

Yeah I saw that but didn't even try to play that. Even more to look forward too
