Hair dye and a healthy lifestyle helps you not age like rotted meat. I’m really worried about some of you.

I watched the most recent Ghostbusters movie over the weekend, and I kept wondering why he looked younger than the rest of the cast. Including the kids AND Paul Rudd.

AARP interview in 2026 say he works out regularly, eats right, and actively works on balance exercises even "silly" stuff like standing on one foot while brushing his teeth. Plus, he bargained with Zuul.

He used to go to Dragon*Con every year (I accidentally ran into him by accident in a crowded room and had no idea who he was but he was very kind about it) and the year after he was in that series about mental health and played a soldiers dad his line was three times longer and he was getting trauma dumped on and just was so gracious, listening intently to what people told him, giving them hugs (most celebs only do fist bumps) and telling them they were loved and he’s just amazing.

Neah, this is literally how advanced Med's become. Why do you think Sweet Potato Hitler ain't been dead for years already!? Here it's cancer specific treatment, prolly involving the latest in Immunotherapy, where they literally target cancer specific cells with your own immune system. Then we get to assorted growth hormones, & stem cells, while they figured out some years back that "Aging," is caused by Telomere shortening on cellular Genes, so they've been R&Ding drugs to stop/prevent that.

Wealth + free time to work on your health + good genes. The first two being the most important.

1 month ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 3

Well, you need at least that to beat the bad genes being a prominent cause of the 2 cancers he suffered.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So, wealth and time you say? I dont think so Tim

1 month ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 5

That's from the hormone injections to make his hair stay thick and his penis small. Doesn't believe in gender-affirming care, for some reason.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You left out the important part of that component, and the implied necessity of "wanting to work on your health."

1 month ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Yup, but you didnt mentioned it in your previous post. Id say the key would be healty food, healty routine (working, learning, getting fun and resting in balace) and healty personal relationships. Being rich wont solve those three entirely.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 12

Egh? Cannot you not comprehend? They did mention working on their health.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Dude, I was talking with DocFunkenstein, why dont you read the whole coversation before posting? My point was, being rich is not the whole solution

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Good genetics is by far the most important.

1 month ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

No, it's just a very helpful part.

Wealth to buy good food and healthy living, and actually being free to work on your body and health (including medical care) is way, way, way more important.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Those things are all meaningless in the face of a genetic wall. Leonid Radvinsky was a multi billionaire who, for all his money, died at 43 after a long cancer battle. Meanwhile there's Mariano “Pops” Rotelli, who lived to 107 and drank whiskey every day, and only saw a doctor 3 times in 100 years. Genetics are absolutely the most important factor in longevity.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Fucking hardly. Tons of people die at the ripe old age of "Genetic heart defect at 40"

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But by all means, show me some poor, struggling, hardworking people in their 80s who look as good. I'll wait.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Money can't buy telomeres. Predisposition to cancers, inheritable genetic abnormalities; these things will drastically affect longevity and quality of life. Meanwhile I personally have both sets of grandparents who lived past 95, great grands that lived to 99 and 104. My grandmother broke her arm at 84 and grew new bone back to heal, which if you dont know, is almost unheard of at that age. Money can't buy genetics like that. And we've never been "wealthy", just lucky genetically

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Money can't buy genetics like that, but you do need basic nutrition and some structure to get the benefits it provides. If you're struggling to make ends meet, financially and that takes a toll on your mental health, I'm not so certain you'll get consistent results. Your nutrition will worsen, increased risk of harmful substance abuse, etc. A lot of it will offset "lower predesposition to cancers". History has a lot of folks with "great genetics" dead under 30 under, say, a coal mine collapse.
