She’s Colossus’ little sister and one of the original New Mutants from 1982. She’s a pretty central X-Men character in the comics, especially in the 80s and again the last decade or so.

Morrigan was originally pitched as a vampire in preliminary designs, but the devs didn't want Yet Another Vampire character, so they made her a succubus instead. As a result of popularity and relative pop culture obscurity of the theme at the time, she became The Succubus of modern pop culture and heralded in the trope. Any time you see succubi in Japanese media these days, odds are it's because of Morrigan's continuing influence.
