This is my Papa. Everyone has a grandpa but there is only one Papa Pete. He loved his name. Everyone loved his name, and everyone loved him. Tomorrow is his funeral.
After being diagnosed with lung cancer this September, he decided to out on his own terms. With dignity and the love, support, and respect from his wife, five children, twelve grandchildren.
He would have been 85 this 28th December. He never had a bad word to say. Always had a smart joke. Always happy. He knew life was hard so why make it harder on yourself. I don't know what else to write. I'm going to miss you Papa.

It’s all anyone can do to have the opportunity to go the way you choose. Very few get that.

At least it sounds like he lived a full life surrounded by loved ones. Sorry for your loss.

A toast to Papa Pete. May his memory never cease to bring a smile to your face.
