Still can't shoot lasers tho
I have always worn glasses and contact lenses that have been just a little too weak so I'm used to seeing a blur. Now all the details are overwhelming!

Got mine done three years ago, never had either problem. The only quirk is very slight haloing around streetlights at night. 100% worth it.

Try to get really thin contacts. It isn't perfect but it helps against the light streaks.

It does seem, but it is not. As a general rule, do not get surgery at the border. Bur Monterrey is a big city with lots of great stuff.

I have -9 and I've been scared to do it. I heard it's a harder procedure and one they get to practice less. Can you share your experience?

It was pretty easy for me. Whole procedure took like 10 minutes, had to wait hours tho. Both eye with drops/warranty about $5k. Lasik MD.

Also -9, I wouldn't know what to do without glasses. They're a part of me! Wore contacts for a time and kept trying to push the glasses up.

I had contacts from age 12 to 26, then had to go to glasses cause of lack of oxygen in my eyes. Turning 33 this week.

That happened to me - the newer contacts permit way more oxygen exchange than they used to. You could ask your optom if you can go back.

Yes it would. I went to have Lasik with an astigmatism with no problem.

I have an astigmatism as well. It's really bad in one eye, and I can only wear one brand of contacts. Of course they're expensive.

If you follow directions and don't get lazy with your eye hygiene it is less likely to be a problem.

I had dry eyes in the first year after surgery, but it's totally manageable with drops. I was fine after that.
