Salem, MA

I can't remember the name of this store but it was inside a mall that had a few other stores like it. The wall to the right is nothing but tarot cards.

Laurie Cabot is Massachusetts' "officail" witch. I don't really know what that means but she had a lot of (very expensive) merchandise in alot of different stores.

Thought this display was cool. Lots of steampunk.

Giant display of insence sticks. Almost every store had one. It was actually hard to breath in a few stores because of the smell.

Interesting store front.

Wand shop. Just as you walk in there's a disclaimer saying they have no association with j.k Rowling and all similarities are "accidental".

This place was outrageously over priced. A plastic wand with a rhinestone on the bottom cost $25! The wooden ones were even worse.

These were very pretty but also stupid expensive. It's a stick, just go outside.

Entrance to Crow's Haven corner. No idea where the stairs lead but I liked the design. This store was also very over priced and alot smaller than I thought it would be.

Spices for magic spells.

Some gorgeous poison rings (and my shoes), I wanted one so badly but just couldn't justify the $75 price tag to myself.

Crystal balls and some giant geods.

Botanical shop. Wall to wall spices. They even had a pet section.

Pirate museum. Kinda felt bad for them. You'd see pirate stuff everyone in awhile but it was massively overshadowed by the witches.

Salem grave yard. Absolutely beautiful.

More gravestones. I love the old trees.

Family plot.

Close up of the family plot under the tree. This is also were we found a grave saying that the person buried there made it to 81 years old. Congrats Margaret.

All the headstones had carvings like this. Some better than others. This one kind looked like an alien to me.

Huge tree. Possibly there longer than the graveyard was.

Cool branch.

One of the fancier carvings we saw. He was either very well respected or very rich.

All the crap I bought in Salem. All together I spent $200. I regret nothing!

I'm going there next year! So excited to see pictures. Any suggestions on "don't miss" places? Stores, restaurants, etc.?

The touristy stuff is pretty low-key. My aunt, uncle, and I went in every store we saw but it only took 4 hours.

I know I am late, but the first store is Omen. I was lucky enough to live in Danvers, a neighboring town, for 2 years.

I was also read by Laurie Cabot. I thought she was insane with what she told me as NOTHING related.

Everything she said came to past about a year and a half later, so she was right!

Cool! I got a chance to get a reading at her store but I passed because I'm too scared of what she might have said. If I ever go back -->

I might try to be more brave.
