Is this a heartwarming case of “evil” using “evil” to fight “evil” with “evil” outcomes while seeming to be “good”?

TLDR A story about a Star Wars Hotel, an interesting YouTube trend, and Disney’s “battle” with DeSantis. Everybody wins apparently… but not really.

Interesting situation of a “will it work?” investment (into siphoning money out of eager fans’ savings) leads on to the concurrent story of Disney, DeSantis, and the heartwarming win-win for the politoeconomic machinery that keeps the world turning.

Disney in proxy battle with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Disney did something good (?)… for human rights (what’s the catch though?)

…and the world’s a better place *long sigh*

IMO, this post is way too much about politics and way too little about why the Star Wars hotel sucked.

Yet that was the journey. I went to read about the hotel and was drawn to the cynical backdrop of who was driving it and what they’re about.
