Everything turned out except the potatoes (had a lot going on) but I'll definitely do this one again! hope you all enjoy!
There's a couple of ways to make chicken fried steak. I've often seen it with cube steak, or top sirloin which is what we have here.
First things first, It's time to beat your meat! You can't have any pudding if you don't beat your meat! In this case I'm hitting it with a rolling pin and making sure to smash it out in both directions.
TWO TICKETS TO MEAT MOUNTAIN!!! Now that they've all been smashed out real good, its time to tenderize your meat!
I start off with the large end of the meat hammer and then follow up with the small tipped end.
Since my deep fat fryer is only so big, I'm cutting them into more manageable size patties, but you do you. I've also trimmed off some excess portions of fat / meat, which i'll later use for a stew or something.
I've placed all the meat in a bag so I can add a marinade here shortly.
Here we have equal parts fresh cracked pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. 1/2 cup of this mix was added to the meat bag along with some splashes of low sodium soy sauce for a well rounded marinade.
About a 1/4 cup of our seasonings along with some olive oil were added to the potato bag mixed shake and bake style https://i.imgur.com/uETwe6u.gif Potatoes were then baked / steamed on the grill for about an hour @ 400F / 206 C
Preheating the fryer to 350 F / 176 C.
Our steaks have been marinating for 2+ hours and are ready to be breaded. Some folks do bowls, but i prefer bags as you can just toss them when you're done. I've got about 6 eggs (that I'm going to beat shortly), and about 3 cups of flour to start with. Add more flour as needed.
Now were frying them up! After your finished frying one make sure your fryer comes back up to temp before adding the next one. No one likes soggy steak!
I went ahead and finished breading and just started placing them on a plate. Flour everywhere, should've used parchment paper in between the steaks but o well, we've gone to far...
3rd chicken steak is looking good, I'm claiming this one as my own.

Glad you enjoy! FYI 2 heads of garlic can be a little rich if that's not your jam. +1 for username

I'm a firm believer that more garlic is always better. :)
