Johnson to promote affirmative action and prohibit discrimination among federal contractors; Trump signed an executive order to declassify all remaining government records related to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr; Trump signed an executive order to evaluate the creation of a "national digital asset stockpile; Trump called for the Federal Reserve to lower interest rates “immediately”; the Senate confirmed John Ratcliffe as CIA director; and the Senate voted 51-49 to advance Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense, despite allegations of sexual assault, financial misconduct, and excessive drinking.
