I support bands by going to their shows. 90% of money spent on itunes goes to apple and the record company, not the band.

bandcamp.com is an excellent way to give money directly to the band. and you can choose the bitrate! You just have to hope they have one.

Most of the ticket money goes to the record company too.
Eanikran
Yes, but its less than what would from an itunes download, and none of it goes to apple
yashmack
untrue, most musicians make their profit from touring.

$100 for a good seat at a concert every time they tour vs a fraction of the $11.99 download, once
robosteve1947
What band is worth $100 to see?!?! Just curious, not trying to be a dick or anything
Neutralguy
I'd probably pay $100 for Radiohead...
robosteve1947
Do they charge that much for tickets though? Obviously a well established and great band like Radiohead can charge more but $100 is a lot
Neutralguy
Since they aren't touring right now, I couldn't check the exact prices, but a blog was talking up to 70 euros and it was posted in 2012
