AI slop is built on the destruction of the environment, worker exploitation, wealth extraction, and destroying the neighborhoods of marginalized people and poor communities. Using it for your weak ass dunks on fascists does nothing to dismantle fascism or the systems of injustice that fascism grew out from. Get good or shut the fuck up. Go outside. Protest, agitate, educate, organize, and DO shit to fight fascism.

Meh. I make it on a personal computer not attached to the internet and my water and electric bill have not increased. If someone out there has this kind of setup and doesn’t have the time or capability to sit down and photoshop a fancy meme to convey their message, I say they can have at it. I know some very smart people who are baffled at my photoshop skills. I have no reason to be upset at them for expressing themselves in the only way they can.

Sadly, this train has left the station. I'm personally terrified at the scope of possibilities and how very wrong this could (and certainly will) go for the future of mankind. You can hate it all you want but it's only going to continue to grow into the monster it will become.

The complaint is appropriate. The prevalence in AI in fucking *every* level of media these days, and people refusing to cite sources or explain reasons for jank, is the reason it is gets thrown around so much.
"Oh, you don't personally recognize this 20-year old commercial that looks like it was shot in someone's kitchen with a camcorder? That's on *you* dumbass, how dare you think it's AI?!"
