"It's already bad enough, with my skin this color!"

This video, recorded by Meta glasses, is making the rounds on social media, and purports to be of a Hillsborough County Sheriff deputy and her partner detaining 2 men working near the site of an active shooting, where deputies Daniels and Muon had been struck (https://teamhcso.com/News/PressRelease/7dfa5e28-cf1c-47ad-9c2a-0523f7a121c8/26-123)

Her behavior speaks for itself. Their department has not yet released any statements about this video, but they did recently announce the arrest of one of their own on charges of stalking, so perhaps they will be willing to clean house if this video turns out to be real, as well.

Their department does have a page to lodge complaints, if anyone feels like encouraging them.

UPDATE: I've found where this footage was shot, at 105 West Shell Point Dr., Ruskin, FL, which is indeed very close to the shooting; combined with the ambulance passing in the background, this pretty much confirms that it is real.

That guy is funny as fuck under pressure.

He knows he doesn't have any other safe options except remaining completely calm and polite. To do otherwise would be easily fatal. That is his reality, every fucking day.

Don't forget Ryan Whittaker, bushwhacked and shot from behind by an officer he didn't even know was there.

Meanwhile, the shooter is still on the run...

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

According to the linked article, the shooter died about two hours later at the hospital

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don’t wanna hear people complain about people who say “defund the police” anymore.

We clearly have too many psychotic unnecessary cops with absolutely fucking nothing to do but “fear for their lives”, write tickets, and murder people.

1 week ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

What an absolute bitch, she needs to be fired quickly

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

We have investigated ourselves and found that we have done nothing wrong. Next please...

Completely unprofessional. She has a hair trigger. She needs to be fired.

She needs to have a restriction on owning firearms

They are like a couple of poorly trained rent-a-cops. “On your back, on your stomach, sit against the wall, stop moving” and the clear losing it under pressure is inexcusable.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Somebody needs to start an annual cop award show called the "Golden Acorn" and categories like, "Karen Kop of the Year" and "Most Police-Involved Shootings of the Year", among others. And the departments that win get an actual award mailed to them showing an acorn atop a car hood.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And the prestigiously infamous "Golden Acorn Award" would be for the MOST ABSURDEST case ever to have occurred for that year. @OP would be among the frontrunners.

Seems professional

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's one positive point about their injury (death?), then: it revealed this person's utter unsuitability for this job.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So fuck everyone else? If she (or any other cop) can't handle their emotions without taking it out on people then she (they) shouldn't be wearing a badge. Does the investigation/search which likely has nothing to do with those electricians give her the right to interrupt them? To likely escalate a situation from 'hey what are you doing here' to 'I'm detaining you for zero reason' to possibly finding literally any reason to arrest/assault them? Does a cop's emotional outburst allow them to turn

1 week ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

around and force someone else to lose their job? Because the company those guys work for probably isn't going to wait for them to go through the legal system if she found some way to escalate things. This type of behavior actively harms community relations, who is going to come forward with information when cops are out there effectively arresting random people who weren't even involved in a shooting?

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They don’t just handcuff everyone in the area. They don’t even carry that many handcuffs. They especially don’t handcuff calm cooperative working folks like seen in the video. Why are you trying to normalize this behavior?

1 week ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

And you investigate bystanders by pulling your gun, forcing them onto the ground, and then handcuffing them? Yeah, that sounds *real* safe for everyone.

Where did this happen? Any other articles because the one in the description says Florida but the video has Los Angeles.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Port Richey, Florida

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Location's in the press release linked: West Shell Point Road, Ruskin, FL.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another note I hope this law enforcement officer is fired and put on a list so she can never be one or have access to a firearm.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why the Los Angeles in the video at the bottom right? Was that just the person who released this video?

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Man, it's a good thing there's no such thing as institutional racism or this would be a bad look for the cops.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This chick either saw somebody die or thinks she might've seen somebody die, and is NOT handling it well. Just as pissed at the gigantic male cop who was with her for not directing her elsewhere and getting her away from bystanders who are rightfully confused and are going to ask questions, the instant she started shrieking "Shut the fuck up" like that.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Holy batshit crazy...her brain does not work properly for normal society, let alone being a cop. Whoops, it's the US...crazy white woman with a gun that will probably kill someone...she could win cop of the year award in that cesspool.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

What is he recording with?

1 week ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Meta glasses.

1 week ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I've updated the description.

1 week ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They seem to have saved his ass in this case. Funny, because there was more than one FP post yesterday decrying them and saying the only reason people would use them is to be a creep. Look, I'm not for Meta glasses and realize this is a corner case for actual beneficial use (holing the pigs accountable) as we see in this vid. I just find it a little ironic how yesterday we hated them completely and today they're saving this dude's ass.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree completely. Just goes to show you that *how* the tool is used makes all the difference.

I thought those were only used by creepy white guys doing sexual, racist, or edge lord crap.

Investigative Detentions ("Terry Stops"): When they have a reasonable, articulable suspicion that you are involved in criminal activity. They can be used to secure a "chaotic" active crime scene- and protested in court after- see unlawful detention. Police are required to give their name and badge number. DO NOT RESIST often do use a pretext to escalate to deadly force. This mentally unstable officer MUST NOT be on active public duty- MH evaluation professional here.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the cuffing could be completely normal depending on the circumstances (which I do not know). At an active shooting, for example, it makes sense to cuff everyone you can because you have no idea who could be a shooter trying to hide or who could be a bystander. This cop is clearly fucking losing it though, and should at the very least be behind a desk.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

omg will you look at that color on his skin, that's a criminal right there, yessir.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If it's real, just because a cop has been hurt/killed does NOT give you the right to attack uninvolved people. Looks like she was giving confusing and contradictory orders in the hopes that she could get him for refusing to obey...

1 week ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 3

"Roll over. Roll over. Roll over. Roll over. Shut the fuck up!" She wanted to shoot him from the start and was looking for an excuse.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Exactly: A crisis is where you MOST need to be collected and rational.

1 week ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

They also already knew who the shooter was and were tracking him by air. Meaning detaining these two men was completely unnecessary in the first place.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I disagree. I don't think she was "trying to get him" in any way. Instead, it appears that she is so terrified that she can't think straight, hence the confusing directions. Regardless, she doesn't seem to have the emotional stability to hold a position of authority.

1 week ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 7

It's plain, from recent events, that NO cop has the emotional stability to hold a position of authority.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah just gone full impersonation of Don Knotts at Iwo Jima.

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

TERRIFIED? Terrified of what? She's 100% trying to find a reason to shoot him just like all those racist fucking cops do.

1 week ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

She apologizes to the guy TWICE in the clip. If she wanted to shoot him she could/would have. Her partner has to give her instruction multiple times.

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Terrified of being the third cop shot that day, maybe?

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Boo fucking hoo.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's a reasonable fear to have. It doesn't excuse the way she behaved.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

If you're that fucking scared for your life, then you should NOT be a cop. Go be a florist instead...

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a reasonable fear to have. It doesn't excuse the way she behaved.

Yeah, but it's a valid answer to the question.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Do you need to pass physical and mental exams and then do some training in the US? Just wondering

1 week ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 0

Looks like you just need the pulse.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently that's more than you need to be a senator

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but, well, standards and effectiveness vary...

1 week ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Had a co-worker. Ex Cop. He said he had to quit because he kept talking about killing his own family. Something wrong in that institution.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The job requirements and training, especially the training, are laughable. A hair dresser or nail technician are required to have more training hours than a police officer.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The cops here are required less training than hairdressers. They’re all high school dropouts. ACAB.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

In PA we've recently lowered both the standards and the length of training.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

yes, they screen for intelligent people and don't hire them

1 week ago | Likes 97 Dislikes 0

In my late 20 when I was having difficulty finding work I applied for several police departments. I passed the physical and other exams but was not selected. I enquired with HR after the 2nd attempt and was given the following response. "Highly educated people become bored with police work within 3-5 years and move on, it winds up being a waste of city resources to train someone who will leave the PD within a few short years".

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They let my brother be a cop, so I 100% believe this.

1 week ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

For anyone wondering: That's not a joke. They give the reason that the person will feel unfulfilled and leave anyway.

1 week ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 0

The Supreme Court even ruled that this was perfectly okay.

1 week ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Some. Less than to dye hair.

And I am jot kidding, the cull the too intelligent ones from the exams.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes but no, you have to fail the tests to become a cop.

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

These aren't cops though. Same vein, but these are from the Sherrif's office, they ain't gotta do shit to be deputized. Show up with your own gun, even.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That is somehow even more scary.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Welcome to America.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As others have notes, you must be /below/ a maximum IQ to be a cop in the USA. That is not a joke, it's legitimately a policy. And then you have to go through "warrior" training garbage that is, again no joke, intended to make you see every citizen as a potential threat to your life. They work quite hard to make sure cops in the USA as dumb and angry. :/

1 week ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

To put it in perspective when the us army trained it's soldier for the Middle easy conflicts. It did not tesin US soldiers to see everyone else as possible enemies, the cop training did.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are not cops though, they're Sherrifs. Which makes it worse, since they don't need to do anything to be given a badge, gun, and told to go 'enforce the law' however their boss sees fit with the only repercussions being voting the boss out.
