I feel like a dodo, I had no freakin' clue that if you opened the emails in the spam folder, instead of just deleting them, you can find an an 'unsubscribe' or 'remove me from' link that will effectivley stop them from coming to your spam folder in the first place. I did that to the 30+ spam emails I had a few days ago, got a bunch the next day, a few more the next and this morning I only had 2, I unsubscribed from them too, and it's late evening now and my spam folder is still empty... who would have known?!

Update: 1 new spam in 2 days. Still don't reccomend doing it according to what other users say. But it's working for me.

I would only do that with recognized companies, you are still putting yourself at risk, as people can fake company emails.

This is just blatant misinformation. It just tells them that you're an active email.

I should delete this. People can use those links to hack your computer or something hey? I'll just leave anything that comes from now on.
