ground using a disk sander, this is an icosahedron, a 20-sided shape. It's most familiar as the D20 die in DnD
TIG welding is difficult when you factor in distortion, the metal as it cools tends to pull material towards it. I hand to clamp the sheet metal down to prevent this.
Heat patina. I took #8 heating tip (aka "Rose Bud") on an oxy-acetylene torch to make this effect. I then waited for them to cool and applied a clear coat.
I think it came out really well. I call it "Lucifer's Die"

I got my wife a metal d20 mace one year. Basically this plus etched numbers and a nice oak handle with metal bands.
