My FIL proudly proclaimed that the doors on the Supreme court had the roman numerals I-X on them. Which of course he thought meant the 10 commandments, I make it a policy not to argue with him so I didn't feel the need to bring up that it made more sense that it represented the bill of rights. Ya know first first 10 amendments to the constitution.

Chriatians dont like it when you point things like the first law of the US stands in direct opposition to the first commandment. The number that think things like the 10 commandments are reflected in US law is staggering.

Many of the founders were some kind of Deist, and when you look at the Declaration and other writings at the time, it's clear Deism had more influence in founding the country than straight up Christianity (I mean, the Declaration says "Nature's God"!).
