Republicans aren't talking about Hasan Piker because they think Republicans care. They're doing it because they think it divides Democrats. People like her and everyone on CNN are useful idiots.
I wanted to see this done since before Trump was in his first office. It is so satisfying to just step back and go like: "Huh, why do you think THAT is a relevant question?"
And even when you get a good response to their bullshit they clip and cut and adjust the perceived context to fit their propaganda anyways, and since it's a 30 sec clip, their base just accepts it at face value.
He's actually a really good political personality. He's very good about being accurate, even though he often goes on sarcastic tiraids against people in his chat. He's very conscious about not becoming audience trapped.
Is that really even a scandal? LOTS of people use shock collars on their dogs. I can understand not liking it but that is some damn small shit to be worrying about when the President is a rapist, most of Congress is blatantly corrupt, the Supreme Court decides cases based on who gave them the biggest bribe, children are being killed by our military in Iran, and even more children are being killed by Israelis using the weapons we gave them.
Yeah, but, you see.... he (is alleged to have) shocked a dog! That's WAY worse than all those small things combined, don't you see? #bothsidesaresoliterallythesame
.... .... The fact that anyone can say something like that with a straight face is just... I don't know. I don't have the words. It's the saddest take I've ever seen, and that STILL doesn't fully express how bad it is.
I hate that line of thinking, it's bullshit reasoning like that that justifies overlooking small abuses. Should Hassan be a topic of conversation for a politician, fuck no. Is it totally fair to criticize someone for using a shock collar, and decide to watch or not watch someone based on that information, absolutely. Just because something doesn't stack up to the scale of genocide, doesn't mean it can't also be wrong, unless you're prepared to overlook everything else on that level. Unless 1/2
Eh, forget the unless. Wrong things are wrong. Period. Don't justify less wrong things by saying worse wrong things exist. You'll end up justifying a lot of fucked up shit. 2/2
Sure. Don’t watch him. That’s fine. But this is just very much not a real issue and should not be part of the national discussion or have any relevance in politics.

It’s also just gotta be frustrating. I’m glad he’s got a good answer down for it.

I've seen a couple examples now of how he handles these kinds of questions and I think it's a good strategy. More should adopt it.
clonedeeznuts
If more weren’t too busy adopting corruption
jargonmon
His interview with bed Watter on faux news was another example. They only want to bait you instead of addressing the real issues.

A twitch streamer?

Probably Hasan Piker, never heard of him until the last few weeks. The RNC plastered his “meat photo” on their big screen

Shocking
breothskin
Republicans have decided that Hassan piker is somehow secretly controlling democratic messaging 🙄
BenjyX55
Is that the guy whose nudes everyone was jacking off to during the convention?
breothskin
That’s him.

Yes, we saw Hasan's Turkish Delight at the Dallas CPAC...
ThingsThatDontJustifyGenocide
Wow, they're not even hiding the grindr-crashes anymore, they're just full-hog going at it like they went at Hasan's full-hog.
VitaminJay
Google searches for Piker spiked in Dallas after that image shared...
thundercactus
Isn't that the guy who got caught using a shock collar on his dog?
samwyze
You should probably stop watching the lying dipshits that tell you that.
micuu
He was accused of that with zero actual evidence.

So your opinion is that we should overlook animal abuse because "there are worse things happening right now"?
