I hate the play acting sad they do while they were removing the covers, like being forced against their will. I wonder if they made a poster or something out of them.
Everyone else is talking about it not being read anymore, or ruining the original printed book. Me I'm just wondering why youd bother with jujutsu kaisen instead of something actually good.
i know its mass produced books. it pains me non the less when they get ripped apart. also in the end that's now just a show piece. books that thick are utterly impractical to read.
That is super cool and very well crafted. I’m curious how well it’ll hold up being such a thick tome? I know the Dragonlance bounded series I have is very difficult to handle while reading and it has the first three books in it. I’ve only read it once and still it took some wear on the spine. Regardless a very nice demonstration of book binding and creativity for a series you love. The window front cover is great idea and well executed. Great job and thanks for sharing.
I have Chronicles and Legends hardcover of Dragonlance. Started reading it to my girls recently and it still holds up. I forgot how smooth it was to read. They unfortunately lost interest and we never made it out of the Inn, even with me doing all the voices.
Whenever I see these combined books it makes me wonder how it affects the ease of reading. The creative work is great. A custom sleeve to store them would probably give it the same flair while retaining their readability.

This is probably one reason why none of the manga I have ever tried to read, made any sense to me. Usually, I just pick one up when I'm waiting and a sushi bar waiting at a restaurant and they have a big pile of them there.

I think it would be fine for up to three volumes. Manga often do three volume omnibus versions, occasionally in hardback.

@op why does the cover seem to be on the backside? I don't read a lot of manga but even in Japan, text orientation varies a lot.
Is it supposed to be read back to front?

Most manga is read from right to left. So yes, what westerners considered the "last page" is typically the first page in Japanese literature
