#21 Sexy shapeshifting Shelob was pretty dumb in the second one but both of those games were an absolute blast to play. (Shadows of Mordor/Shadows of War for the uninitiated) It's really a shame that WB locked down the Nemesis system because that could be cool in so many games.

I felt like (in addition to Stupid Sexy Shelob) Shadows of War suffered a bit due to the Lootbox system of gear upgrading and your followers, and on harder difficulties, enemies were sponges rather than requiring more skill or tactics. I don't know that I agree with higher level enemies just being damage sponges when MOST of the orcs were generated with a weakness or a fatal flaw, and honestly the ones that didn't have any of those made the best generals for you to capture. Also once the lootboxes were made free and the game was demonetized, it became an absolute blast and the only thing lootboxes got you anyways was training orders for orcs.

I got stuck in a failure loop cos a guy that killed me ended up running a fortress and every time I died he just became a tougher boss.
