the tau come from warhammer 40k, which is a nightmare hellscape galaxy of lore with everything trying to kill everything else and no real good guys. one of the chaos gods decided to shit some mecha anime onto a backwater so the smurfs that lived there would get gud and naively reach into the galaxy with eyes brimming with hope, so that each variant of insanity in the galaxy could sucker punch them in the dick one after another. at this point in lore, they're finally catching on to the bullshit.
Space marines for nubs because they are easy to play because they’re the main faction. Imperial Guard are for rich people because the better models from IG cost so much more. Sisters of battle are for die-hard neckbeards because they never get updates nor new models. Dark Eldar are for edgy little fucks who have to be the smartest person in the room and craftworld Eldar are for non-edgy fucks who have to be the smartest.
Necrons are for people who are bad at the game because they revive after dying. Orks are for trolls because everything they do involves rolling a dice and is random as fuck. Chaos players have no chill. Tau’s stereotype is weirdo weeb geeks.
I play Tau. Little mech suits, medium mech suits and giant mech suits are cool. Didn't know they were unpopular I only play with a few buddies not competitive.
Honestly the T'au jokes are simply because the other factions are older than you. It's like being the youngest sibling. You get everything you basically want from the parents and your siblings love you but they hate it.
Some people take their Grim Dark too seriously. When I was twelve I thought the Black Templar were bad ass, but these days I'm more of an ork lad. One thing you never see at the gaming table? A salty ork lad. We just wanna do some crumpin. Winning or losing don't matter so long as you git stuck in gud!

I play necron because I’m bad at warhammer but not bad enough that I need to play Ork.

I don't get it.
Are they strategically inferior?
For noobs?
Personally, I thought Tau had a cooler aesthetic than some other factions.

Just poking fun at them. They are cool in their own ways. Just like all the factions.

I've never played the game, but I know a little of the lore and listen to Youtube lore dives - seems to me da Orks are da best fer fun

You win? Was a gud fight. You lose? At least you went out fighting. Retreat? You live to fight another day. Ork win every time
evilgriff
I enjoy this outlook. Is this a quote from Gazgul?
DidaChikDumaChum
Don't think it's any quote. Just something I read once explaining why Orks are the only ones having fun in 40k
