Where are you from? Mine are maybe 15cm tall (sowed directly mid april)

SE Georgia, USA. These were transplanted so they are a bit stunted, only 5’, last year they got to 7’ tall. Direct seeding is definitely best. My summer season is so long I get about 3 rounds of sunflowers if the bugs and fungal diseases aren’t too bad.

Awesome, I'm in northern Germany. Here are mine next to my potatoes (damn mice ate a bunch of seeds, hence the gaps, need to sow more or maybe transplant the ones that are too close to each other

Nice! I hope your sunflowers accept transplanting well. It helps if it’s not 95F (35C) like it is here 🥵
