So, I’ve been busy being sick and my oregano has become overgrown and flowering.
My tiny little hedge and garden. ?
Hatted for the beautiful, super sweet, aromatic clippings to go to waste. Hoping neighbors or strangers will take some.

Usually I think it means it’s done growing leaves so it won’t produce anything more for cooking. My basil plants flowered and still tasted good for cooking, but they stopped producing new leaves.
Leaving them like this could mean your neighbors could grow their own next year since the flowers usually produce seeds

You want the leaves, so you have to prune the flowers to get the plants to keep growing leaves. The flowers do look and smell quite pretty though.
