Dormant about 9 years
Yikes!!
Yep, she needs help....
Ok.., time for a major overhaul. Spent the day stripping and cleaning everything. Got her all oiled up and moving super smooth.
Creating a jig for the new table top
Jig ready
Roughted first ¾ layer with the jig
Rough cut second ¾ layer ready to rought
Another jig to cut down the corner drops
Corners cut
Another jig used to cut the hinge drops
Test fit on the money!
Added an Oak trim around the table and extension
Decided to go with a gloss black laminate
Wilsonart spray contact cement and cheater stix to lay it up
Flush trim outside and the cut out
¼" chamfered edge all the way around the outside
400 grit hand sand on the oak and 4 coats of lacquer clear on the oak trim
Looks pretty good
Gray is ugly! Gave the legs a WOW factor... did it work?
Rough fit with the side extention
Install the motor, pedal, power supply and she should be ready for a new life...?
Noticable differences where it was scrubbed.

Absolutely sick, great job. I'd love to do this with mine but use the hemming feature too often haha

Stunning work all round @OP. Nothing more enjoyable than a step-by-step with photos! Thanks.
