Nearly a year since Olive passed. I dreamed I could see her spirit running around and having fun, but then she ran over to her sister, who's still alive, trying to get her to play, and she didn't understand why Sally wouldn't respond to her. I started crying in the dream and woke up in tears, and now I just feel unbelievably sad.
Here's her sister. Does she understand at all? It's been 11 months. She's become much louder and more demanding now that her sister isn't around to do it for her.

Animals may or may not understand that a friend has died, but they certainly grieve when they are no longer around. Just like us, they take time to get back to being themselves. I hope you two find peace.
