Turning it over seems good. Don't push it to water, though. Give it time to decide for itself what it wants to do. It may want to get its bearings. Pushing it has a chance of damaging a flipper. If after a bit, they don't move, call a wildlife rescue service. Ask them if you should do something or just wait on them. Maybe douse water over their back to help them cool down.
But, good on them for wanting to help. Looks like they were careful and gentle enough, except for the sand pushing.

So I always look for signs these are staged. I don't see any footprints or shit around the stranded turtle. There's also a ton around in the water, which means it's more likely one would get stranded... But also easy pickings to "plant" one. Also, immediately including the kid is a little weird.

I see you don’t have kids. They were probably filming a day at the beach with their child when this happened. As the turtle was perpendicular to the water a rogue wave could have flipped the it. And it was there for a while, the sand filled in around the shell. I don’t preclude some jackass flipping a turtle and leaving it to die for the same reason that very old and iconic tree in England was cut down by 2 jackasses, they are filled with hate and want others to see it.

Given that most of the infamous "rescues" were fakes, I think its reasonable. Thousands of videos on youtube.
The turtle straw video wasn't actually a straw. Oil spills do dramatically harm birds, but most are not dramatic looking, so people have added more oil for pictures.

The turtle seems pretty buried in the sand too like it settled a little. I dunno, if I noticed a turtle stuck like that from 20 meters away and I had my phone id probably pass it off to my kid to film it while we flipped it. It isn't unreasonable to think to film it if you happen upon something like that. I see stuff on the beach all the time when I walk it, but it is always dead :(
