Guess what we're making this time? If you guessed Chili... you should be burned as a witch!

But also that's right, slow cooker chili. Got a few new toys to do the job.

Browning the beef.

Throw in the onions to soften them up a bit and add flavor.

Cutting up the peppers into smaller bits.

Throw it all together in the pot. In this case it's very simple. 1 lb burger. 1 can dark red kidney beans. 1 can tomato sauce. 1 can tomato paste. 1 can diced tomatoes with peppers. Salt, pepper, garlic powder and the perfect amount of chili powder: Too much.

Start on high for about an hour to get the ball rolling then switch to low.

How long on low? FOR EV ER! ...Seriously though this is gonna take a while.

Guess I'll have to find something to do for 4 to 6 hours... Oh well, stay tuned for results.

Is it hard to get a cooked meal during the pandemic? I only ever had a 12v cooler, and cold sandwiches got old fast. You've got a nice setup

It can be hard to find a few of the things I'd like to cook but make do. Most of the truckstop restaurants are still doing carryout.

Also I just picked up a cooler tonight to hold my overflow food. Never had one before. Really impressed.

Is the truck seasoning, because that looks more like beef.

I'm sorry but what?

I thought you were cooking a truck. Disappointing.

I'll try harder in the future but they tend to frown on us cooking trucks.

Could be a sequel: Breaking Cab - the cooking continues.
