Such Goodness

Dear Imgur,

I recently returned from an amazing experience and I really wanted to share it! I have just returned from an event known as the CFIT or California Firewalk Instructor Training. I am opening with this picture of my zombie (Zombie) over a bowl of soup because we had Miso for breakfast every morning.

It was a glorious experience full of learning!

I was trained in facilitating activities such as (but not limited to), board breaking, arrow breaking (using your throat), group games, glass walking and of course fire walking! This unrelated picture is Zombie doing construction work.

I say facilitating these activities for a reason.

Much of what I learned can be used in more than one manner. I hope to utilize these activities to help others remember their full potential. You can not hesitate when breaking an arrow, walking on glass and especially on fire. Unrelated, Zombie getting ready to leave work.

I just had to share! Even if it's whole 10 people.

We had about 12 hours of class every day! That's with me taking out lunch and dinner breaks. It was exhausting but I barely noticed it. Unrelated, Zombie takes a short nap in the manner he is most comfortable.

I never imagined I would be in this place.

Even a year ago I didn't know I would be learning such a unique and wonderful skill set. I am eager to practice bringing these activities to others. There is so much to share.

Here's a shot of me breaking an arrow on my throat. It took me 4 tries but I was victorious!

This is the group of us as we prepare for a night's fire walk. Truly a transformational journey.
I spent the weekend pushing myself to the limits of my comfort zone and I feel better for it.
