To be fair, people do do that on their days off (except the rioting), but it's for other reasons than simply having idle time.
Loafing: too exhausted to do anything after work, Gambling: low-income people trying to get more money somehow, drunkenness: depression.

I find it amusing, looking back. It seems that -everyone- who didn't have to work 60 hour weeks was opposed to shortening labor hours.

Or the "I had to suffer so you should too!" (Not to be confused with the, "I had to walk 15 miles to school" crowd they're more about 1/2

The "I had to, so should you"s are the kids of the "I had to walk 15 miles to school"s, right? Maybe they just learned the saying wrong...
