Plasma rifle in the 40 W range

Jul 31, 2024 7:24 PM

Since March this year I got an idea to 3d print a full size Terminator T-800 endoskeleton with the phased* plasma rifle and everything. Before this I was totally new to 3d printing and/or working with models, miniatures or and the like. And Im still learning. So far I've printed the major parts of the skeleton and just finished the plasma rifle.

I really have no clue of what im doing but trying to learn as I progress. Spraypainted the rifle matt black and then experimented with grafite powder to get some metallic feel to it.
Later I tried to get some weathering effects/rust.

Apart from the 3dprinted parts needed more sanding and the spraypaint dripping Im quite happy with the result.

I think I got a little too much drybrushing though. But wth.

Jeeves, show him the good stuff.

I've always been intrigued by 3D printing, but the prospect of sanding and painting is a major deterrent.
