But that's just like a week when you have pets
TheRedBaron8
Yikes 😬

Once a month is what I recommend. I’d use a MERV 8 as well. That filter is for the equipment, not for you. Expensive hyper-allergen filters are bad for your furnace or AC
coyotebob00
Can't do that. The dust and pet hair is the last remaining structural component keeping the house standing.
horseWnoname
hit it with the hose. it'll be good as new! i kid. just did a cabin filter in one of my cars. it was well past time. I can't judge.
michBeast
But it actually filters better that way.
MightyIink
Peel them apart and now you have two filters.
McTaco
Y’all breath that nasty shit
strikt9
Nah, it all got trapped in the filter. They’re breathing much smaller nasty shit

The other side is clean. Just turn it around and use it a second time.

PSA clean your box fans. (unscrew front panel, sweep it clean, wipe the blades, good enough)
sometimesarobot
This isn't a "get rid of dust" thing either, they're louder and more powerful (if especially bad, I have a lot of dust) after cleaning

Looking like a lint trap in a bachelor's dryer
