Trauma has a way of quietly running your life long after the events have passed. Stopping the cycle means stepping up to be the protector that inner child always deserved, rather than letting the unhealed pain run the show. Hopefully, this resonates with someone else who needs to hear it today.

Yeah but how can I be the adult my inner hurt child really needs? As a traumatized human adult I struggle with this “short comforts”… series binging, addiction, “laziness”, avoidance, panic attacks, phobias.. the list goes on. And even beeing therapy or staying clean for a long time.. I struggle, I always struggle against all this little windmills in “real life” I have to fight All support systems may be arranged but they are windmills too, and after time some support breaks and you cant keep up

By using your adult tools to solve the things that hurt you as a child.
Grew up poor? Live frugally, save and invest, relieve your child of the anxiety of financial insecurity.
Physical abuse survivor? Train your body and mind, build your strength and learn to defend your child from harm.
It's not easy, but as an adult you can do the things for child you that the adults in your life at the time should have done but didn't.

The problem is that sometimes it feels like the kid within us needed an adult that could throw a punch.
