Latex is not actually intrinsically hot, rather it prevents direct airflow and stops sweat from evaporating. In other words, if you are even a bit hot it will stop you from cooling down leading you to end up very hot, but if the temperature is reliably cool then you can be fairly comfortable for a good while.

If its cold you have no body hair to help keep and insulating bit if warm air around you. So if it's cold, latex makes you MUCH colder

For that we have to look deep into the line of what is sexuality vs fetish. So I know a few friends in the BDSM community who have NO sexual attrition to men or women but they DO have sexual attraction to being hit. These people have no safe way to find the way to seek that kind of gratification safely. Do we deny them education because it isn't "normal"?

That makes perfect sense to me. Too much sense maybe. My therapist recently hinted at something BDSM-esque maybe being a viable strategy for me to deal with certain issues I have when it comes to sexuality and sexual attraction

Make sure the theorist suggesting that is an actual sex therapist. I have a specific one that I had to hunt for for a while who knew how to talk about polyamory, fetishes, as well as matching on a personal level

Sorta sounds along the lines of asexuality spectrum with a fetish? Speaking from experience, I'm asexual. 0% interest in guys, maybe some vague, difficult to quantify 5% to girls. And that's not really to bodies, it more the societal identity of femininity. Despite that my interest in fetishes is like a 50%. If given the option, I would partake in the fetishized activity but turn down the "actual sex" part. Impossible to find a partner (or outlet) like that, really.

Sexuality, gender, fetishes, are all tied up in a pretty extreme knot. But the more people you can put into a group of falling into a "fetish" the more it can be recognized as a sexuality outside of gender, sex, or biological reproduction. The main goal in the whole Icelandic campaign is to give people a way to learn safely once they reach 18 so they do not fall into bad sexual habits and learn consent, safety, and respect
