Our Laptops at work are Monster platforms that run like a PC from the early 90's thanks to Windows, McAfee, the Corporate Network and other garbage s/w they add to keep tabs on what we do.

Your whole IT team should be fired for allowing McAfee in the building, much less on the computers. Microsoft Intune would be far better.
