When he says that the only reason we have jobs at the moment are that there are things that are not possible to automate, he is admitting that the trickle-down theory of lessened taxes on the wealthy creating more jobs always was bullshit. They only hire you because they have no alternative. The robotics industry is the one that is going to replace more people than AI, and nobody is talking about it.

You never were important to the C suite or the investors. You were a necessary inconvenience and now they are going to rectify that. You will not be needed. You will not be cared for. You are becoming their enemy because they fear your reaction to being so easily replaced.

That's the real reason for the surveillance state and automated attack dogs and robot cops. They will replace or toss the governments that they used to bleed you for the funds that they used to replace you. And they need a police force to protect themselves from you. Look for entire islands to be taken over, man-made islands in the sea that are guarded by AI and automated weapons and for sky palaces for the ultra-wealthy.

They fear you because, unlike you, they have read the history books and know what they are also creating - a human army that will come for them.

This is from https://www.reddit.com/r/SECourses/comments/1uymmt2/wow_prof_steve_keen_exposes_terrifying_reality_of/

The person speaking is Professor Steve Keen. You can read his Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/stevekeen101/ , hear his podcast at https://debunkingeconomics.com/ and read more about him at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Keen . He has a substack at https://profstevekeen.substack.com/

Professor Steve Keen seems to have ideas that are counter-intuitive to open borders and the unification of Europe under the European Union. He also is accused of basic mathematical errors and misrepresentations of Marx's views.

Professor Keen is also pushing his proprietary data visualization and macroeconomic modeling software (Ravel(c)) built on top of his open-source Minsky software. Ravel is designed to simplify complex data analysis. So, he is doing this for the $$$$ too.

The person on the left is an unapologetic oligarch and data center builder Kevin O'Leary. He is an asshole. He routinely praises Donald Trump and gives not a single fuck for the environment or the people in it.

The on in the middle is Peirce Morgan - a man who profits from pitting people against each other while not trying to solve a single fucking issue.

Enjoy...

Our future is the movie Elysium, only once they have their big fancy space station, they'll nuke the earth behind them.

Based on the title I was expecting to hear O'Leary shitting out of his mouth like usual, but I dunno the dude talking seems to have a handle on the coming shitstorm of "hey we replaced all your jobs but we also aren't giving you a way to survive"

Who is he? Seems like he's an academic who is getting to the root of a looming problem.

Perhaps if OP had provided a source, we'd be able to get the context.

My bad - I'll supply the reddit post URL.

The easiest jobs for AI to replace are executives.

Wonder how I’m gonna pay for everything when they automate all the jobs away. Just give me money/basic income? Hahah yeah right. Those greedy pigs won’t even pitch in to help the country they live in. Giving free money to people would just piss them off.

I'm wondering how they will continue to make money. If nobody has a job, nobody is buying anything. From whence then cometh thier billions?

AI taking away all the jobs almost seems out of reach if you really think about it. Not all businesses are going to be able to automate their companies and stores. Your local mom and pop store will always have a mom and pop. Your small business locations will always be just hanging on as they are now, they won’t be automating anything. If AI is able to accomplish everything they/you guys say it will, maybe over the next 100 years and by then…………

Your local mom and pop stores will go broke because the many of their customers will not have jobs or will fear losing their jobs and will stop spending with them. You don't have to eliminate ALL jobs to destroy the economy. %15 to 20% job loss is enough to cripple an economy while AI is said to be able to already automate away 25% of all US labor. Consider this table concerning losing X% of the jobs of 160,000,000 workers in the US...

Maybe this is the way we get the billionaires to take over the tax paying burden. If we are all out of work, there goes the tax paying base.

Once they go through their savings and sell their assets to replace all of our incomes, where does the money come from then? They won't be selling anything because nobody will have money because they've gone through all of theirs supporting a system that cannot work (one in which people are not needed).

So, you’re saying that the final outcome will be every single one of us will be broke and jobless one day? What a sad world we’re making.
