I’m one bass short of my platinum thingy. Game was offline when I beat the academy boss lady. Congrats!!!

This was funnier the first 3 times I saw it posted today.

Honest question: is the director related to Hayao Miyazaki, or is that a common last name?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know how common the name is, but they're not related.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

First or third monitor? I'm just curious.

Boss damage

I assume frustration with elden ring is why the screen is ruined.

Tis the post’s joke, yes.

I could swear I saw a meme of that same exact screen but with CS GO on it a moment ago in another post

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Beating it with 1/3 of the screen non-functional is impressive.

you see ivan. if you break 1/3 of monitor enemies can't see you from the broken side.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm waiting for it to be less than my monthly food bill to even try it.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whenever you do get it, it's a good investment as games go. I already have 400 hours played and it is amazing

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

maybe freepizzadude can be freeeldenringdude

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Original Poster said he photoshopped it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You mean, he didn't actually beat Elden Ring?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't get the appeal of From Soft games and I don't think I ever will.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

I didn’t until elden ring. The others weren’t my aesthetic apparently, because the beauty of this one just kept me in long enough to get it

Exploration, discovery, freedom to build your character in some unique ways, gleaming the nuggets hidden lore and making connections, action

The thrill of overcoming adversity.

Your average game lately is better off with cheat codes, which angers the hardcore gamers who expect everyone else to be at their level

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Satisfaction of overcoming an unfair challenge for most, but to me ER just feels nice to play well. Though, the open world is fun to explore

So video games do cause violence?

3 years ago | Likes 150 Dislikes 5

The whole 'Kyle' stereotype didn't start out of thin air...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Certainly caused me some violence against inanimate objects that cost me monies.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That one does..

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Only in already violent people

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YOU WANT SOME TOO!?? Because you won't get it, we're cool people around here and we support gamers in their endeavors... some.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Humans cause violence, the videogame didnt kill anything outside of itself. therefore its good to kill things inside yourself. #Capitalism.

I repair TVs. We call that type of damage by how our customers describe it. "I dont know how that happened" or "It just started doing that".

3 years ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 0

"the cat bit the side of the tv"

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

would you repair this given the cost involved? or just get a new tv

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For some manufacturers, they never replace panels. If it's within the factory warranty, Sony, Samsung and LG will okay the repair. 3rd -

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

- party protection plans never cover damage like this, but if the panel is defective, it's usually more economical to swap TVs.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I once made us of Samsungs 0 dead-pizel promise and I'm 99% they just swapped the panel.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

don't forget "It was like that when I turned it on" or "err, no, I don't have any game consoles" (fixed my fair share of these too)

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And, since ours is a vast majority of warranty fulfillment, I get to piss them off when I tell them physical damage is a deal breaker.

Was one of the few things that job did to warm my blacked little heart. :)

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I've got a single vertical blue line on an older 60" Samsung LCD, any suggestions by chance?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

More than likely a panel issue.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair enough, it was all ready demoted to bedroom TV anyway. Thanks.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm always shocked at the notion that anyone would throw a controller or damage their TV, growing up broke and saving up for anything nice.

3 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

I mean I have done it. Fucking Wii mote and Wii sports!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would I break my own stuff?

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

That's the only thing that prevented me to smash a mouse or something.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I throw my controller at my pillow when i get really mad. Have yet to rage break antyhing, controller alone is $60

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I learned the hard way the reason you wear the strap on a Wii remote.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My wife's ex does this. He still lives w/ his mom, so when it breaks, she's the one replacing it

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Me too. But apparently that’s why the creator of Flappy Bird shut down his app. People were so frustrated, they were breaking their phones.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I read people throw away enough phones every year to wrap around the equator 18 times.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i mean i suspect its mostly either a "wiimote without a strap" thing or a "moment of temporary insanity" to translate a dutch term

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"WELL FUCK THIS SHIT! Waaait why is the tv broke? oh fuck that was me wasnt it?" or something like that

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah the whole moving around to game trend was a mistake. Gaming is for when you want to relax physically but be stimulated mentally.
