#10 I know back to first coming to America (I didn't do the work, my uncle did) and it means I'm distantly related to John Adams (and apparently the surname has lasted this long)

#13 Only because no one properly planned for it.
Everyone knew that the boomers retirement was going to hit now. And that it was going to rip the economy a new one.
Everyone agreed that preparations must be made to handle that, and yet no one fucking made any.
There was no great build out of the age care system, no real support to expand medical care section to handle the in crease of age related conditions. No funds set up so that the Government can afford the massive decline in tax revenue.

But a preparation WAS made to handle that. I think it's called "Preparation H".

That's a treatment for hemorrhoids.
So either you are calling the boomers' hemorrhoids, or you are misremembering.
And I can't tell which.

Uhhhh... my fault. I too often forget that not all the world uses the same idioms as we italians. There is a vulgar (NSFW) expression in italian "pigliarla in culo" that is almost literally "to take it in the ass", with the meaning of "making a very bad deal". And because getting it in the ass can lead to hemorroids, so the Preparation H would be a good choice for us late boomers that made very bad choices in those times.

#15 only because society also forces us to wake up early

If you keep wishing for death every morning, sooner or later, your body will listen.

The key is to wish for the death of morning people
