This is Jolie

It's my cakeday, so I get to show all of you Jolie. My wife thinks it's her cat, but we all know who she really loves.

When we bought our house my wife said it would be a lovely home for a cat. I told her it would be a lovely home for a dog.

We had a standoff for a few years. I struggled to get my wife a gift for her big birthday, so instead I gave her a Certificate of Dispensation of Reciprocity.

Instead of getting her a cat I gave her permission to get a cat without having to return the favor of allowing me to get a dog.

I couldn't be happier because Jolie is a Calico Ragdoll, which is the dog of the cat world. She has to be in the same room as we are, and if we're in two separate rooms she's lay between them.

She loves strangers (new opportunity to be petted) and comes when she's called (sometimes).

Jolie turned 12 this year. Not as spry as she used to be which is OK, because neither am I.

In the above photo she is sleeping in my chair. She knows it is my chair, but she claims it is our chair.
