#5 That's too much milk for it to be a macchiato - it should just be 'stained with the milk.

#12 fans love 4,5,6, but not 1,2,3 or 7,8,9. Hypothesis: need more creative title design.

#1 - there is a multiplication symbol?! I've always used a little X... Mind blown....
Giveitasqueeze
Use many keyboard ASCII codes at work. 0178 and 0179 for squared and cubed.
QuanticChaos
#1 There are many many other alt codes, like the one the makes it so you can comment with no text like in my reply below!

My casual table setting is just a piece of paper towel, my bowl with one utensil sticking out of the food, and a mason jar full of water...
TheElootist

#1 old game I played didn't allow full caps in chat, only first letter. Discovered Alt+0151 glitched into an invisible character, 1/2
HapilyDamaged
was Alt+0160 for the old chat rooms in online services like AOL and Prodigy
KentKnifen
Allowing me to capitalize every letter in a word. People legit thought I had hacked the game. 12 y/o me was overjoyed at this newfound power

Table settings make no fucking sense... most of us are right handed and use our fork in our dominant hand, forks are always on the left?
IsACouchASeat
Cutting a steak? Fork in left, knife in right?

#1 How to do this on a laptop without numpad?
Elvenbane
load up the "Character Map" app.
TacticalSpoon
You can always brute force it by opening the character map and then copy / pasting what symbols you need.
Ladylike
Thanks, all! I appreciate your replies, learned something new today :)

Windows 10 has a shortcut (Windows Key + .) that opens a special symbol and emoji menu. Trademark/Copyright, currencies, latin accents, etc

More people need to know about his. My other favorites are Win + shift + S (easy screenshot) and Win + V (clipboard history)

"money is to be spent" as a hidden rule among the poor? really? ignorant bullshit
LongboardLiam
No. Money always comes in to be spent to keep above water. Savings accounts are dreams, a place to put the 73¢ left the day before payday 1/
LongboardLiam
I grew up rural and poor. We juggled which bill to pay late. We bought a thrift store answering machine with couch change to screen 2/
LongboardLiam
Calls to make sure it wasn't a collector. Being poor sucks because there is no cushion, there is no savings. Only spending and a hope for 3/
LongboardLiam
Dad to pick up overtime this week.
Tahaufren
sorry - what i really meant was that it posits a certain idea of "to be spent" with a bad stereotype of poor people. that triggered me, -
Tahaufren
and i reacted and typed by kneejerk. upon reflection i understood, it just drove me nuts. "poor people have phones so they aren't poor" type
