Any Koh-in-noor. I guess they were technically"lead holders" so you could switch to any size lead. Ah, pure bliss.

Current fav: uniball kuru toga elite. The lead never snaps. This pencil is incredible.

I happened to like Pentel Technica-X. They have a retractable tip and also come in pen variety.

Zebra 301s! M-301 Pencil and F-301 Ballpoint Pen. I use these almost exclusively to this day.

My dad had the F-301s growing up and that’s all I use now. Always reminds me of him. I like the gels but want a smaller line
