Finished product first, I know how it goes

So I wanted to share with you pals my own twist to the Taco Bell morning goodness! If you aren't interested, just go on and... Right arrow, buddies.

K, so ingredients and tools are all listed here. Probably the simplest little thing I make for my friends, super easy and they love it. 1 big ol' tortilla (bigger=moar). 2 eggs. Some hard low-fat cheese, I chose mozzarella cuz I love the Italians. Spices, I used Cayenne pepper, black pepper, and just 1 little shake of salt, not much at all. Also, salsa, to really make it muy bueno.
Needed: plate, bowl, fork, spatula, pan, oven, ultimate hunger.

Mix it all up!

Slower, you dirty... Wait what? Anyhow, mix everything save the tortilla, salsa, cheese, and cooking utensils. I threw in some diced jalapeƱo pepper because I had one laying about taking up fridge space. This is your uniqueness, add the spices or flavors you love, or keep it simple. Nothing wrong with eggs.

Add water to fluffy up the eggs. Not much at all, just a quick flick of the sink nozzle, I did this picture pretty fast.

Make yourself a little pizza pie with remaining ingredients. Tortilla, then salsa on bottom, underneath cheese and eventually egg on top. The order matters, trust me.

Put the whole mish-mash in a pan and scramble that mug! What else you want me to say? You do you.

Eggy goes on top, but don't turn the stove off, we aren't done.

Flip! Make that little tongue with the tortilla and hold it there. Careful not to tear it, make sure big tortilla or small center of food. Must be about 2:1 ratio of tortilla to food? I don't know. I'm no mathemologist.

Carefully fold over another tongue on top. Do not cut, no need, just fold.

Finished result, and in the pan it goes! It should be kinda squishy and without shape, so careful boys and girls, don't make a mess of the kitchen!

Press it a bit if you prefer. I do because I don't like it fat, I like it flat, makes me feel like I'm eating more and fuller.

Next part, I did not picturize because it is probably the hardest part. This is why the salsa goes on the bottom. Flip that mug so your folded side is face down. Mine, I added too much water so there was a hole that wasn't covered but *Spoiler alert!* that's perfectly okay.
Also snape kills dumbledore.
*Spoiler over*

After successful flip because you are pro, you're pretty much done! Let it sit and cook, melting the cheese and baking the salsa juice into the breads and eggs. So tasty.

Ta-Dah! Look at what a pro you are! The black spots around the opening are okay, it's just salsa. Enjoy with a fork or get intimate with your hands! I hope you enjoy your breakfast!

Dog Tax!

Because this post is so long, it deserves 2. My bad. Alena is upset because she can't have no egg. Too bad. She won't eat her food, she doesn't get any of mine.

Addendum to the Recipe!

This entire set-up I just showed you is under 500 calories! If I am correct, I believe.. 475? Honestly, the major component of that is the tortilla, which is a whopping 220 calories on its own.
80 calories each scrambled egg
80 calories for salsa (ugh, but it's so good)
15 for cheese (whaaaat?)
The rest I added in just because I'm sadistic and want to make sure I overestimate my calories on my diet, rather than underestimate.
So grab a bottle of water and enjoy your homemade Taco Bell A.M. Crunchwrap, which, for copyright reasons, I have named "The Volcano Breakfast" because the red salsa and the opening at the top. Also, no hash browns inside because potato would push me over my calorie count. K bye!

220 cal tortilla!?! What the hell is it made from, butter??

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. Pure lard. Actually, it's not the contents, it's the size. Things pizza size, like 14 inches or sum'n.

+1 for adding water and NOT milk to your eggs for fluffiness. I've gotten in so many arguments about that

Water doesn't do it for me.

Actually, not a lick. Just have experience being fat and southern. Hence the diet, I guess.
