edging by hand. Get a nice angled brush, a small one, more like an artist's brush than a painter's brush. And then just do it by hand. It /3

Was gonna point this out. If you don’t get the viscosity right, you can easily gum up the paint gun, and you’ll waste quite a bit of time1/2
2/2 cleaning the gun everytime it happens. Plus, with roller/brush painting, you get a good workout painting rooms.

That's true. I have one of those, but when I ran out of pump armor I just used my air compressor to blast out all the moisture.
Had some butter once use enamel on their entire house interior. It was a huge pain in the ass. Ceilings, walls, trim. Jarring to behold.

They do. The difference comes with whats left in the lines, as well as whats left in the air as you spray. The aforementioned sprayer is (1)
Probably a relatively small one, which means it sprays less than a contractors would. Cuts down on overall waste, goes much slower. (2)
Another thing to consider is the thickness of application, rollers lay heavier coats, less repetition. Pros and cons to both. Outdoors=NO
i used about 30% less paint for decent coverage. but there are losses in the lines you cant use. so small projects = no go.

They do. The difference comes with whats left in the lines, as well as whats left in the air as you spray. The aforementioned sprayer is (1)

Probably a relatively small one, which means it sprays less than a contractors would. Cuts down on overall waste, goes much slower. (2)

there is some paint loss in the lines. but cleaning is just flushing the line with water. so 2 buckets and 10~15 min.
