My brother's father in-law. Awesome person.
A note from one of his daughters.
This is not a post to share the devastating news about my beloved father’s sudden death yesterday after being hit & run while riding his bike. Rather, it’s because the police need more leads in the hopes of apprehending the driver. So this is my plea to share this post with as many people as you can, in the hopes someone knows something. The details we have:
My dad was riding his bike eastbound along North Shore Boulevard at approximately 2:30pm on Thursday, May 18th. He was struck from behind by a silver 4-door VW Jetta, which will likely have sustained damage to the front end & possibly windshield. The driver then fled the scene & continued east on North Shore Boulevard, then turned left (north) on Maple Avenue. Dash cam footage exists, unfortunately the image is murky so it’s difficult to make out the license plate, & things happened too fast for the the driver behind this individual to make note of it.
This happened in Toronto - Burlington

Upvoted for what it’s worth. In case the police didn’t already, it may be useful to ask around that area for people’s security camera footage of that time.
