The author is an italian guy living in Germany, and he wrotes about a variety of arguments. While I'm not always agreeing (or in line) with his conclusions, I like the way he think, associating events, facts, words said by womeone and thoughts.
His argument "US Politics vs EU" is pretty long, and extends some years in the past. Sadly almost all of his articles are in italian (you may try with auto translation, i'm not able to judge the result) but for some reason all of the last month are in english. This one sums them all (albeit very briefly) and i'd like to hear the opinion of US citizens about this. Also, I ind it pretty convincing, so MAYBE this can open some new idea about the IMGUR users from US.
But please let it be clear that I'm not trying to insult anyone: i recon than each person sees its own version of reality (in my case, 'cause i'm italian so my perspective toward italians and Americas is different from the one of a US citizen) and all what i'm trying is to learn something, and not falling in the simplicistic "Trump is mad" logic.

This is a pretty credible perspective. Given that this entire campaign has likely been orchestrated from Moscow, with Israel playing its bit, it goes far beyond anything I had thought. No doubt Russia orchestrated Iran's urging of Hezbollah's raid on Israel and it has snowballed from there. I thought it was to distract from Putin's Ukraine adventure, but it has now become a much grander scheme with much bigger goals, wrecking Europe for one.

Not a US citizen; I live in the EU. Europe getting screwed over as a byproduct of American foreign policy in the Middle East is nothing new. I don't think this is a deliberate strategy from Trump; I think he has plenty of reasons (none of them justifiable, but whatever) for the attack on Iran regardless of the effects on the rest of the world. At worst he sees it as a bonus. Doesn't make it any better for the EU, or for that matter for Ukraine.
