One of my clients has a small campus with three main buildings: The Old Building, the New Building, and The Old New Building. The New Building is Records and Archives, the Old Building houses the New Technologies Department, and I think the Old New Building is accounting or something... They also have smaller buildings dotted around. Like "The Blue House", which apparently has been painted red since the 90s.

Near where I grew up, there is a road that had a name. It was named after one of the families that used to live at the end of the road in the 1800s, but all of the locals called it the tree road, because there was a tree at the end of the road. About 10 years ago, the county finally changed the street sign, and renamed it to the tree road. About a month later, the tree died, and it still hasn't been replaced.
