Bit early for Christmas Selfies (I told someone to take the pic, couldn't manage on my own), but I hope everyone else has a more comfortable holiday than mine is starting out to be!
No diagnoses yet, but the most godawful pain of my life started at 645am.
By 8 I was in the ER and begging out loud for someone to help me.
Some pain meds helped a little, then the pain came back, I got nauseous, vomited like something out of the Santa Clarita Diet, and felt totally fine.
Waiting on my CT results...
Wish me luck, imgur. Here's hoping I don't need my appendix or gallbladder out!

Edit: scan is back! Kidney stone. Really, REALLY pissed off kidney stone. Like omg guys.
But I'm gonna be okay!! :D
And honestly, I've had a kidney stone before and it was half this bad. This sucked.

The clap for sure...

You have ghosts in your blood. Do cocaine about it.

Fun fact, due to a never ending nosebleed as a kid, I had a cocaine solution shoved up my nose at the age of 11.

We're trying to make you smile, but we also hope you feel better soon.

Take care @OP. I hope you get well soon.

Thank you! It's strange that I feel so much better so fast. Never been in that kind of pain before!

Kidney stones is my go to wish for people I really hate very much. Very little is worse, and most of that lasts shorter.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just wish upon them surprise paper cuts and nothing but red lights when they're late. But yours works too, I guess.

I had a giant ass kidney stone once. It really is an unimaginable pain. I feel for you. Hope it passes quick

Mine was apparently tiny. But I am also tiny. So. -shrug- shit hurts, tho.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It really does, I don't know how much size affects it, but shit hurts

Best of luck, i hope they don't need to operate.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No operation! It was a kidney stone and a bladder infection teaming up to be total bitches.

Yeah, @Op's definitely got aliens. Call Ridley for this.

My husband got kidney stones when I was 6 months pregnant, at least he had a sense of my pain when I went into labor...fun times

Look at you, chillin with Plankton's wife just before Christmas. Hope you've got answers soon and feel better quickly.

Yup. It sucked. Way worse than my last one. Thought my appendix was trying to explore or something.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought it was going to be gall bladder - same alien bursting through pains I think. That was a rough day. feel better soon!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

@Op, Appendix and Gall Bladders are on the lower end of fucked up things. You should be grateful if it's just that. BTW, get well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was a kidney stone. A really. Really. Really pissed off kidney stone. @_@

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So, how would you rate the pain on this scale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NHJjEFk32c

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My signal is crap so I can't watch it, but I would have gladly endured someone clocking me on the head to knock me out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you get somewhere where your signal isn't crap, please watch it and report back to how angry those stones were.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, it's not cancer, so you got that going for you. ;)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

could be gallbladder, but I'm not doctor

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's what the insurance lady said! And my mom had hers out, so it's possible. I have had a lot of digestive issues.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well whatever it is, hope you feel better soon!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kidney stone. Mean one. And bladder infection. Bleeehhhh. 10x worse than my last stone!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

aw dang. Sorry to hear, hope you've got at least some relief now.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Feel loads better now! And I have a scrip for toradol, and the night off from work.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now you will learn to drink water before AND after coffee, vigorous exercise, sunbathing, ingesting protein drinks, sodas, etc.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ps I've had like 11 of 'em. I can feel 'em coming now and dissolve 'em by drinking 4-6 liters of water. Careful about electrolyte balance

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't drink coffee, or do much exercise, and cut soda out of my diet 2 years ago. I think it was a recent uptick in salty food.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you filter your pee and actually retrieve a stone the lab can tell you its composition. Never saw any of mine.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

P.S. Your vitals are making me uneasy. Please report back.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I live! This was just after the toradol managed to take effect, so my heart rate finally chilled tf out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So happy to know you're doing well, kidney stones are the fucking devil. Ex had his threaded and was instructed to YANK it out. No joke

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Here's hoping that's all you need out, @OP! I'll point my magnet's north side towards you to send you some positive magnetic fields!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Thoughts and prayers! Thoughts and prayers!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I find magnetic fields are much more tangible...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same here, tbh. I actually ordered magnetic nailpolish recently. I am excite. Maybe it will be delivered when I get home. @_@

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Interesting... what does it do? Can you pick up small metal objects with your fingers now?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, the polish has metal particles that react to a magnet. Holding one over it makes the bits follow the magnetic field, making patterns.

Simply Nailogical on YouTube recently did a tutorial with it. Stuff is amazing.
