How AI is already an existential threat to liberty, democracy, life- 2023 in review

Open the pod bay doors. HAL, one of the first homicidal AIs, was instructed to let nothing stop its top secret mission. 2001, A Space Odyssey, a prescient Kubrick film.

2023 AI is already a threat to life. democracy, human rights and liberty.

Elon Musk says AI is a threat, says OpenAI may have made a "dangerous discovery". PayPal mafia techbro Sam Altman, Microsoft take control of OpenAI from a NGO dedicated to safety of AI research. https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-thinks-openai-sam-altman-made-dangerous-ai-discovery-2023-11

Humana uses AI for claim denial- doctors "review"- in batches of 50, 100. Here's your for-profit death panel. https://www.healthcarefinancenews.com/news/humana-sued-allegedly-using-ai-medicare-advantage-denials

Another Right wing oligarch, PayPal techbro Peter Theil uses his AI to create hit lists- for the CIA- with his AI company Palantir. Does it work in on US citizens?
Does his AI also do US election manipulation, like Bannon/Cambridge Analytica/Facebook? He's tried to take control of the Senate for the Right. He's also reported an FBI informant.

Facebook data and Cambridge Analytica AI manipulated the election for Brexit and put Trump in office. Their parent company SCL group's AI has manipulated 100 elections worldwide, many in Africa.

Facebook's Zuckerberg uses AI to target its users- its algorithms for teenage girls upset them, made them depressed, and suicidal. How is it influencing/affecting other groups?

US Intel may be using radicalization algorithms to entrap, radicalize, and influence domestic politics. Russia is.

CIA mega datacenter/IT contractor, and Alexa owner Bezos, (roomba, ring) are spy tools, and AI is already manipulating you.

US, UK, and NATO election manipulation

Cambridge Analytica and parent company SCL Group/SCL Elections pulled off Brexit, put Trump in office.

I've seen different descriptions of CA's technical capabilities and models. One said they were creating models of "persuadable" voters to 200, 300 variables (elsewhere claimed 5,000)- not AI technically but sophisticated manipulation/psy ops for sure.

But they may have also been training early AI- CA president Alex Nix said this but could have been bragging/lying. Their Russian Cambridge data scientist contractor Aleksandr Kogan, the Cambridge University psychologist that Cambridge Analytica contracted to scrape Facebook did who-knows-what all/else with the data- I can't help but suspect Russians used it for their AI program; also other articles report CA parent company SCL Group was using NATO, UK, and US AI to influence elections. A Hundred or more globally!

Also Robert Mercer is an early AI data scientist, Right wing oligarch, and most likely Intel operator/contractor like Musk, Theil, Bezos etc financed CA, ran it with Steve Bannon.

I've also seen Canadian AggregateIQ described as AI https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/may/07/the-great-british-brexit-robbery-hijacked-democracy
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/mar/31/aggregateiq-canadian-tech-brexit-data-riddle-cambridge-analytica

"The organisation boasts that it has conducted “behavioral change programs” in over 60 countries and its clients have included the British Ministry of Defense, the US State Department and NATO."

Regular people using AI isn't as damaging as when a company decides it doesn't need workers, writers, artists, etc.

"Elon Musk says" isn't going to help your argument much around these parts.

This is why we can't pass AI regulations, and legislation fast enough. This shit is extremely dangerous, and at the very least will cause a socioeconomic disaster. We won't see terminators eradicating us, that wouldn't be the most efficient path for an AI, but us eradicating ourselves by AI influence? Absolutely.
