#15 yeah, for someone so entirely up his own ass about honour, Worf was a shit father. But I know, mistakes, character flaws, and all that

The double meaning on Orchids is great for #8.

#13 Are you a closet Canadian? Can't imagine Americans even conceiving of this joke.

And, still... Star Trek > Star Wars.

They serve two completely different niches!

But yes, you are correct

Star Gate>Star Trek>Star Wars

I would watch the hell out of a Captain Jellico Star Trek show.

#15 Writers never felt they needed to write Worf as a good dad or redeem him as a single parent struggling and I think that say A LOT more about the writers then they think.

#10 there's a bit of power difference there. Species 8472 are in another extradimension that couldn't be assimilated, Voyager was able to do what they did because of their inside information and a bit of help from species 8472 (iirc) and I'm certain there were Kazon borg, but I got the impression they were more nomads in space and so they were never 'useful' to add, other than bodies for the collective.

#11 Star Trek knew what people would use Generative AI for in the 80s.

3 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I mean, to be fair, it's exactly what we'd use holodecks for, if we had them...

This is why you always run "Riker Program 70" it's the one that sweeps, up clears cache and deleted anything left in the room after you leave.. and for some reason leaves a $50 on the night stand..

and I'm certain there would be some course or class in the Federation that explains the Dos and DoNots of holodeck recreation use.

Given how often the *prime* directive gets ignored, I can't believe that any rules about holodecks are treated as more than just "guidelines"...

#29 Worf was always good at fighting, and always a terrible father. You see Worf... Worf never changes

Now I can hear that entire thing in Perlman's voice. Take your damn upvote.

It was a highly trained tactical barrel then.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A barrel falling on you is a hazard, not an enemy

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Either Worf lacks awareness as a warrior, or he succumbed to a sneak attack by that barrel. His choice.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a falling hazard, avoiding the barrel is a dex save (DC unknown). As a true warrior, Worf has focused on STR and CON, and does not have proficiency in dex saves. He's no rogue with maxed out dex and evasion

For you, the day Worf abandoned you to live his foster parents in Minsk was the most important day of your life. For me... it was Tuesday

For me... it was stardate 54829.4
