This is what my dinner was going to be. Cheap ramen (with a bit of chili powder, because it's what I've got for flavoring). And yes, I strain my ramen, I never liked it as a soup.

I don't think I've ever actually met an IMGURian in person, or if so I wasn't aware of it. This is probably for the best, as I'm a grumpy old bastard. Usually. There are a lot of factors that go into this I won't bore you with.

Tonight, I am notably less of one, thanks to the incredible kindness of @TheFreePizzaDude (with honorable mention to @JapsMcGee, they both hit me up at about the same time). I did the honorable thing and declined the 2nd offer, because despite my general personality, I'm not actively looking to be a dick. Especially to people doing good for the community.

Dinner now? It's these gloriously simple hot pies. It's enough to soften a man's heart, even if it's going to harden the arteries. May the gods smile upon them for the generosity in their hearts.

Tonight, I shall feast - and then (attempt to) stretch it out for a few days.

If anybody wonders why they're so basic rather than laden with every topping imaginable, it is because I was asked what I desired- and I opted for simplicity. It's hard for any pizza joint to truly screw up a basic pepperoni pie. (okay, they DO have cheese in the crust, but the core point remains).

From the fullness of my heart, and the depths of my stomach, I thank you kind strangers. I hope one day to be able to contribute back to you, so that you may keep doing the same for others in need as you have done for me.

I just cook my ramen barely covered in water and let most of it boil away, a lot of starch in the water when dumped, need them calories.

Nice! A gift of any food has my greatest respect. I'd enjoy this

Strained ramen has the high ground.

Doing Gods work JapsMcGee

I haven't quite finished my 2nd slice yet, but it is gloriously tasty, yes. Even had some unexpected crust seasoning, which adds some zing.

6 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Haha yeah I threw the pizzahut seasoning on there. Meant to do it on one, accidentally on both

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I too strain my broth from my Ramen ?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't like my ramen in the soup either.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I use a fraction of the water so it’s more concentrated flavor. By fraction I mean I leave a few tbsp to dissolve 1/2 pack of powder

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought I was alone! We need to have a convention!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm with you fine gentlemen or gentlewoman. (I do enjoy is in soup, but that's only if you add stuff. Plain ramen=strained ramen.)

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

if that was once a non stick pot you cant use that anymore man

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can't afford food, you think I can be picky about my dishes? :)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

you are literaly damaging your brain go to a value village anything and spend 3 bucks on a pot

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Bruh. I see you're coming from a place of great concern, but people have priorities. Food > kitchenware.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing wrong with pan fry ramen. Spend an extra $10 for Vege and you can make a few dishes of upgrades ramen.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel ya bro. I'm on the white rice diet til hopefully next Friday. Be strong and push on. It's all we can do.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Put an egg in your ramen if you have one... changed the ramen game

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not gonna lie the ramen was my dinner tonight along with Dino nuggets

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I add a splash of cold water to my bowl, mix in the seasoning, and then add the cooked noodles.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Seriously though, that pizza looks so goddamn tasty. What place is it from?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Pizza Hut. It's on the box. Haven't been to one since I was a child. Looks a lot better than I remember it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was a child in the '70s. It's definitely better now than it was back then, mostly.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*clarification: The meats are better, the crust seems better. Not so much with the cheese. Can't comment on the veg, I don't eat those.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some one was hangry

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, yes, but I'm kinda grumpy almost all the time. I wonder if it's the lack of regular/remotely decent food that's influencing that.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gotta give it up for Pizza Jesus, @TheFreePizzaDude.

Why her chest moves so much?

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It has something to do with how the human body works, when you're nervous/shy, like she seems to be, your body does this. It's called... 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Breathing 2/2

You deserve all the toppings. Except black olives. Those are the devil's Cheerios

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Appreciate the sentiment, but I don't do anything but meats and cheese, and even then I don't go all-meats. The body only handles so much.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"It's hard for any pizza joint to truly screw up a basic pepperoni pie." Agreed. Pizza is best with at most 3 toppings. 2 or 1 is also fine.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love some variety in my pizza but you have the right of it; a simple cheesy pepperoni is always good.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Appreciate the honesty and happy you've eaten, @OP!

My stomach is incredibly happy, and in a bit of turmoil - been a while since I had the glory of PH in there. Thank you so much!

I’ve seen these posts before from others and am confused. How does it work?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He had thrown up one of his PizzaAngel style posts and I commented about my hunger. I caught the post about 5 hours in. Messages exchanged.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I wasn't in a rush (still got that ramen!), but they leapt to it quick, and pizza with meat fills a hungry person much better.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

That’s pretty awesome! Ramen is still a pretty awesome meal though...as long as you can jazz it up with goodies.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Pepperoni is awesome, glad you could get some pizza pie.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You made pizza with two packages of ramen a pot, and a colander? AMAZING!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Crack an egg into the broth just as it finishes boiling, makes it much more rich tasting!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apropos of nothing, I have the exact same colander.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Best one I have ever used, extremely easy to clean, and so light it never causes me grief with sink/cabinetry.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm glad you're happy but why do you have to attack me in your tags like that

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It wasn't personal, you're just collateral damage, friend. I didn't think people actually read them, I put them in for ease of searching. :)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never understood the ramen diet. Ramen is AWFUL for you. Rice, potatoes, pasta, all cheap and can go really far. Better for you than ramen

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Ramen is basically nothing with a shit ton of salt. Hell you can get a box of mac and cheese for the same price as a packet of ramen.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

True, but most M&C requires milk, and milk goes bad.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can make it with water. I've done it a lot when I was out of milk. Tastes about the same, if less creamy

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Is that a non-stick pot? If so, be careful with the temp. Too high a temp and chipped non-stick release toxins.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not sure, but given that I'm dealing with cancer (again), if my soup pot kills me I honestly wouldn't be bitter. :)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So non-stick pans that get scratched release carcinogens, which lead to cancer.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I dont like "possibly" and "unkown" that comes up a lot everytime I read these. Which I get but still...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They right, throw that pot away

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup need to throw away soon as you get bad scratch and well that one is long gone.
