I came across this sight while in the Chargestone Cavern. A strike of Joltiks are gathered around a Galvantula, playing under its protective gaze. The large stone, around which they are playing, seems to be either giving them a charge, or being charged by them, noted by the faint pulsing of the light inside of it.
#596 Galvantula
Galvantula are efficient hunters. They have spinnerets near their pedipalps which they use to make their webbing. They weave these webs in trees near the nests of bird pokemon such as Pidgeotto or Swellow. They will then hide in a nearby cave with a strand attached. Once it senses a Pokemon caught in the web, it sends an electrical charge down the web to paralyze its prey.
Its webbing has been found to contain trace amounts of copper, silver, gold, and/or aluminum. It is believed that this is how it is able to charge its webbing. These metals also seem to be found in their setae and are believed to help them "recharge" their electrical stores, so to speak.

The average American eats 8 Galvantulii in their lifetime.
