Where else will you find a workforce for jobs that Americans don't want... Prison! It's low/no cost labor (depending where you are in the states).
Now they can move the "lazy" inmates to Alcatraz and keep the productive ones on the manufacturing frontline.
Call it a conspiracy, except it's a well known tactic.
Gross. Just gross.
Of course, if I'm wrong, please correct me. I'm just one voice in all of this insanity.

The reason alcatraz was decommissioned in the first place is how dangerous it is to the guards. Blind spots galore. Good luck with that one.

Honestly if/when I get locked up or hauled away. I won't be going quietly. I have already informed loved ones.

It will probably take a couple of years if not more

Think of the money to be stolen on this.

Good! It will probably take 3 years to open, Trump can be the first convict sentenced there. Along with all of his enablers....

I’ve always thought mass deportations were a pipe dream in the modern US, due to some jobs just not paying even close to fed min wage. With Trumps plan to “bring manufacturing back to US” the ONLY option in some cases would be forced labor. Defaulted on a student loan? Don’t worry the government designed a camp to help you pay it off. Protester? Right to jail. Prisoners after all have less rights, and make great slaves. Seem extreme? Maybe. But just look at what has happened so far.

A reminder that Tr**p can't order a pizza without Congress.... Congress passed a law, in 1972, transferring Alcatraz from the Bureau of Prisons to the National Park Service... it would take an act of Congress to transfer it back to BoP, or a Court ruling the 1972 Act unconstitutional.
Tr**p barfing out a twaddle while taking a shit is not enough to do any of that.
That being said, all of this presumed the Rule of Law existed.
