A troupe of bloodthirsty aliens resembling circus clowns descends on a small town, terrorizing people with cotton candy ray guns, acid pies to the face, and carnivorous shadow puppets.

KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE is king of the B-movies. A low-budget, high-energy romp full to bursting with wacky gags, distinct character design, and a fantastic theme song, the movie keeps throwing merry chaos at the viewer, culminating in a truly wild boss fight sequence. The Chiodo brothers would go on to many more revered projects both large and small, but KKFOS is their masterwork.

They have a game that came out last year i think was fun although the in game voice was broken when i was playing

Okay so I watched this movie maybe 20 years ago and the director's commentary is A+!

They talk about how they cut two scenes. The first was where they establish the origins of the aliens and why they're here, and the second where they establish that the main hero has a fear of clowns since childhood.

And it was just... perfect! In a horrible movie they actually cut the two most important plot scenes and I couldn't tell if the director did it on purpose to make this movie truly senseless

Honestly, it's probably better that they cut out any backstory.

See, the clown phobia bit might’ve helped or not, I don’t know, but I am very glad we didn’t get some kind of origin for these freaks. The unknown is always more terrifying.

Gave me nightmares for years when I saw 10 minutes of it when I was a kid. Still hate it.

Another door!!?

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Had a coworker, swear this was the best B movie of all time. I hated it.

best part: when it rained popcorn at the end

Fun Fact; Christopher Titus is in that movie. If I remember right, he's on screen for only a few seconds as a guy with glasses carrying beer in a paper bag while crossing the street.

Correct!

Such a weird movie, but I loved it.

3 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fun Fact: The clown costumes were repained brown and used as the troll costumes for Ernest: Scared Stupid.

As a movie, it's not great. It is very watchable just for how much they commit to the entire concept though.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Didn't they relatively recently make a game based on this movie?

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got this from a small local video store in the Florida keys as a kid. The scene where they drank the blood from the cotton candy cocoons with curly straws gave me nightmares.

It isn't as good as "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes"
Even the theme song kicked ass.
" I think I'm going to miss her,
A tomatoes ate my sister!"

Classic

I could have sworn that Jim Carrey was in this movie. I remember seeing it and saw his name on the box and saw him in the film.

But it may be like how people remember seeing that one genie film with Sinbad, it may be a Mandela effect

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He’s not. The movie does feature a teenage Chris Titus though!

They are having a Killer Klowns set up at Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando, and if they don't have this exact clown set up when entering an area then they do not deserve anyones money haha

That is the closest you will get to skin in that movie.

2 days ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Hands down I'll take it, every time. I prefer it over full blown nudity tbh.

2 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought most 80s horror movies had proper gratuitous nudity?

2 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's PG-13. Probably just for the violence. There is a shower scene that is super tame and a disappointment. Even my wife was disappointed.

2 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Are you sure it was because of the movie?

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a video game for this film that is an absolute hoot. 3 klowns take on up to 7 humans. The humans' only objective is to escape. The Klowns can either capture / kill all the humans, or collect the cotton candy bundles to accelerate the round timer. If the timer runs out, klowns win. Really fun game, but needs a group of friends. Online servers are pretty dead these days

One of my all time favorites.

Not because it's good. But because it's bad. I've watched it so many times.

3 days ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

We just watched this last weekend. It was so bad.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what makes it so good! Lol

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's on Tubi for free.

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm late Gen-X. Mom had HBO. I watched that movie right in the tweens and it was AWESOME. There's a video game that came out in the past year or two.

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’d argue that it is good! It’s just such a ridiculous premise on such a shoestring budget that it carries all the hallmarks of quote-unquote “bad” movies. The sheer inventiveness of the script, the strong visuals, and the cast’s commitment to the insanity say “good movie” to me.

3 days ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I mean. It being bad is what makes it good!

It's like old slasher films that I saw as scary (as a kid) that are almost laughable now.

have you people ever watched Treevenge? Its astoundingly awesomely terrible... And Astoundingly Terribly Awesome..

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Zom-Beavers is a particular bad favorite. But I'll have to look this up. Lol

2 days ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love that the Clown on the poster is the only clown to to actually show up in the movie.

3 days ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Not sure what you mean, there’s a few different klowns in the movie.

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Err to not actually show up

3 days ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kinda looks like the dude that boxes that guys head off

2 days ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gotcha.

It’s basically Shorty with red hair instead of his trademark green. They only had like three or four different fade molds after all.

3 days ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They reused several of them in one of my favorites, Ernest Scared Stupid.
